Agia Marina is one of Leros's working harbours rather than a purpose-built terminal, so boarding here has an unhurried, small-island feel: tavernas along the quay, fishing boats sharing the water with the ferry berth, and none of the crowd management you get at a major hub. Rhodes, at the far end of the crossing, is a different scale of arrival altogether, with a large harbour used to handling far more traffic. Dodekanisos Seaways runs the link with its high-speed catamarans, and for most travellers it's the fastest way to move between the two islands without flying. Sailings continue to be added season by season, so check the schedule box above for the latest confirmed dates rather than assuming the route ends when a current timetable does.
Expect a single daily sailing for most of the year, with an extra departure appearing on some days at the height of summer when demand across the Dodecanese is at its peak. Outside the busiest months the service settles back to one crossing a day, so it's worth locking in your preferred sailing time early if you're building a wider itinerary around it.
