Amorgos and Sifnos sit at opposite ends of the Cyclades' southern arc, and the ferry between them is one of the longer inter-island hops you'll find in the group. You leave from Katapola, Amorgos's working harbour on the island's south coast, a fair drop below Chora, which is perched on the cliffs above. On the other end you land at Kamares, Sifnos's main port, a few kilometres down the hill from the capital, Apollonia, so budget time and a bus or taxi fare for the final leg either way.
